Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your AeChai account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open the AeChai app and sign in.
  2. Tap on the Profile tab (bottom navigation bar).
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the confirmation prompt carefully, then confirm deletion.

Your account and all data will be removed immediately.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your profile (name, email, profile photo)
  • Your guardian contacts (names, phone numbers, photos)
  • All air quality readings and monitoring history
  • All SOS alert records (including share tokens and location data)
  • Device pairing records
  • Push notification tokens
  • Avatar photos stored in our cloud storage buckets

Deletion cascades through all related database tables and storage. We retain nothing.

What Is Not Affected

  • SMS messages — any SOS alert SMS messages already delivered to your guardians' phones remain on their devices. AeChai cannot delete messages from third-party devices.
  • Third-party accounts — if you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your AeChai account does not delete your Google or Apple account. You can revoke AeChai's access from your Google or Apple account settings.

Timeframe

Account deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. There is no waiting period and no way to recover your account or data once deleted.
